The indoor swimming pool is popular with adults and children alike.

 

A farm track leads through the fields to the banks of the tranquil River Wye, where single-bank fishing is available, and other footpaths nearby cross the surrounding countryside.

 

A car is essential for exploring the area as there is no public transport available, and the nearest shopping facilities are in the market town of Ross-on-Wye, 5 miles away.

 

There is a recommended pub/restaurant  at Sellack (The Loughpool) 4 miles away.

 

A range of attractions at Symonds Yat, 10 miles distant, include a butterfly farm, canoeing and river boat trips, and excellent bird-watching opportunities.

 

The cottage is an ideal base for exploring the Forest of Dean, Malvern Hills and Black Mountains.
